Energy department

The Energy Department, Government of Karnataka approved the NexusNovus proposal of a 9MW waste to energy plant on 4th January 2020.
Tenders Won
NexusNovus won various tenders in waste management, and executed projects in Malaysia, Colombia, and India.
Stone laying ceremony

K J George, Minister for Bengaluru development and state town; D K Shivakumar, Karnataka Energy Minister; Board of directors; and dignitaries from Embassy of the Netherlands, attended the stone laying ceremony in January 2018, at the NexusNovus proposed waste-to-energy plant in Bangalore.
Concession agreement

Nexus Novus entered into a concession agreement with Bengaluru BruhatMahanagaraPalike (BBMP) to set up a waste-to-energy project in Bangalore of 600–1000 TPD (tons per day) capacity in January 2018, where BBMP would deliver 600–1000 TPD Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) to the site, free of cost.
Investors

BR Shetty Recreations Pvt Ltd entered into an memorandum of understanding (MOU) with NexusNovus to invest INR 60 Crores in the 600–1000 TPD (tons per day)waste-to-energy project, accept the offer to purchase shares in the SPV (special purpose vehicle), and come on board as an equity investor.
First Tender

NexusNovus grows to EUR 1.8 million in revenue, mostly attributed to its flourishing consultancy business, NexusNovus Capital, which focusses on deal-making services for investors looking for high yielding opportunities. It wins its first tenders in the waste management industry in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India.
MOU

NexusNovus as a representative of Waste 2 Value consortium entered into amemorandum of understanding (MOU) in October 2016, to conduct a study on various Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) processing technologies which suit Himachal Pradesh. NexusNovusidentified biogas to electricity plants as the start of their pilot initiatives towards taking the state to being ‘waste-free’, after considering the prevailing condition of scarcity of flat land and otherfactors
Solid Waste Management Rules

In August 2016, Nexus Novus was empanelled to conduct feasibility studies for treatment, disposal, and other components of solid waste that help governments in identifying weak links and propose remedial action in compliance with solid waste management rules of 2016.
Waste to Energy Project

Karnataka cabinet approved the waste to energy project proposed by NexusNovus, to be setup in Bangalore with 9-acre land that was provided free of cost. The cabinet also exempted the waste to energy project from a transparency act considering the social dimensions of the project.
Exceptional Organisation

In July 2015, the Embassy of the Netherlands recommended NexusNovus as an exceptional organisation offering adept services like technological solutions to city management, waste management, and business models. The Embassy praised that NexusNovus is the ideal company to be associated with for complex, technical and multi-stakeholder projects that require international expertise with on the ground support in emerging markets.
Swachh Bharat mission

Nexus Novus as a per the Waste 2 value consortium entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in August 2015 with Karnataka to cooperate, support, collaborate, and advice the state and its various local bodies on unlocking the full potential of the Swachh Bharat mission, creating a holistic approach towards creating techno-economic solutions, implementing expertise, policy advisory, consulting, capacity building, and creating awareness in the areas of solid waste management, waste water, and sewerage problems. The MoU was signed in presence of the Chief Minister and Ambassador Stoelinga.
Waste 2 Value consortium

Maharashtra government had requested the Waste 2 Value consortium to help find a solution to the waste crisis in the state. NexusNovus, as a representative of Waste 2 Value consortium, entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in May 2015 to conduct a study on the various Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) processing technologies that could be suitable for Maharashtra. The MoU was signed in the presence of Prime Minister Rutte (Netherlands) and Ambassador Stoelinga.
Dutch waste management industry

In May 2015, NexusNovus was hired to represent the Dutch waste management industry by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Embassy of the Netherlands to assess the feasibility of various Dutch-based waste-to-energy technologies for India
Growth Launching
Profitability saw a triple-digit growth. Contract manufacturing, assembly, and production support services were launched.
Revenue growth
NexusNovus group reaches EUR 1 million in revenue. A co-founder buy-out, resulted in unprecedented revenue growth due to strategy adjustments. Profitability grew over 200%. NN Back Office Services Pvt. Ltd., with the focus on India Business Support Services, was incorporated. Netherlands India Business Platform, and the largest ever private Indo-Dutch business event, the Vibrant India Day, were launched.
Two Trade Missions
Two Trade Missions (SyntensandMetaalunie) were conducted. The team strength grew to 30 people. Incorporation of NexusNovus Import & Distribution Pvt. Ltd. was incorporated as a separate entity.An industry focus was added: machinery and tooling.
Business Support
Business Support as a service was introduced. Our 20th consultancy project (for Danone) was completed.
Market Scanning and Feasibility Study
Market Scanning and Feasibility Study as a service was introduced. An industry focus was added: healthcare and agro-retail.
Impex services
NexusNovus added Impex services. The team grew to 15 people. An industry focus was added: fire and safety

NexusNovus Services B.V. was incorporated. Successful completion of the first consultancy project with Nyenrode University, Wall Street Journal Europe, and Tata Consultancy Services
